Youth Lead.
About the Program

Youth LEAD is an initiative that is building a national network of young leaders who are working in their local community and beyond to build a life-sustaining society. Youth LEAD achieves this through leadership training and mentoring that enables young people aged 15 to 25 to face up to the BIG challenges of our times and develop eco-social projects that address their major concerns and forge pathways to sustainable futures.

Youth LEAD begins where other leadership programs finish – with young people learning to be leaders by designing and undertaking their own projects. Importantly, OzGREEN provides Youth LEAD participants with ongoing support so they can not only successfully complete their projects but also pursue additional and even more challenging issues. Youth LEAD features as a Case Study in best practice Learning for Sustainability by the Australian Association for Environmental Education (2006).
